effloresce: to burst forth and bloom136baeb57c768b1f7058e2db6d84798b

Deeply connected to the roots of my past, spreading my roots in the present I’ve been given, nourishing my roots to give fruit to my future.

In order to bloom where I am planted, to be obedient with what I’ve been given, I desire to learn from the moments God has given me. I yearn to see him in everything – in heartbreak, in triumph, in loss, in plenty.

Jesus has been many things in my life: protector, provider, comforter, developer, always answer, and always, teacher.

“Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). John 20:15-16

I, like Mary, have seen Jesus for who He truly is, and cry out to Him that he is Teacher. How fitting that Mary sees Jesus as her Savior and Teacher in a garden. So that as we learn about Him, we grow.

These are the lessons of a life rooted in Jesus.
